Is there anything more frustrating than
putting all your time and effort into creating content for your blog and never
seeing a return on your investment? Do you ever stress out over your analytics,
wondering why nobody is visiting your site? Well, not anymore! In this video, I’m
sharing the 10 super simple strategies you need to implement to boost your blog
traffic month after month. The first thing you need to do if you want to
increase your traffic to your blog is post consistently. When you share great
content with your readers on a regular basis, you give them a reason to come
back to your site. The best thing you can do is decide how many quality blog posts
you can commit to each week, hoose your posting days, and stick to that schedule. It will be easier for you in terms of content creation and your readers will
always know when to expect a new post on your site. Not only that, but posting
consistently and optimizing your posts gives you even more chances to get your
content ranking in search engine results. In working with clients, I’ve had many
people tell me that they often feel uncomfortable promoting their own blog
posts. And you know what? It’s time to let those feelings go! When you create
amazing content you should be proud of it! Spread the word by sharing your
content on social media so you can increase traffic back to your website
anytime you publish a new post. Schedule a few social media shares to go out on
every platform you’re using. Since tweets have a shorter life span, try scheduling
three posts to go out on Twitter throughout the day that you publish the
post. Try one or two on Facebook and even publish something on Instagram to let
followers know about your new post. And don’t forget to have a Pinterest
friendly graphic for sharing there as well. Sharing your own content on social
media is great, but it’s even better when your readers take that next step to
share something you’ve published. If you want people to share your content though,
you need to make it easy for them to do so. Add social sharing buttons to each of
your blog posts and don’t be afraid to leave a call to action at the end of
your post asking people to share. It’s so simple, but it works. Your blog post
headline could really make or break you. If your headline is crap, nobody is going to click on your link. You need to write
captivating, yet informative, headlines for your blog post. Use this opportunity
to grab the attention of potential readers and inspire them to click
through to your post. But there’s one thing to keep in mind: never mislead them
with your headline. Misleading headlines, also known as click bait, turn people off
quickly. And if you do this often, they’re not going to trust you and they’re not
going to come back to your website. If you want to increase the amount of
organic traffic coming your way, you need to make sure you’re optimizing all of
your blog content. So, you should take the time to do some research to find the
long-tail keywords that would get you the best results. You want something that
ideally has the high search volume but lower competition so you can stand out. Make sure you strategically place your chosen keyword in your blog title, your
meta description, in image alt tags, and throughout your
post. Just make sure you don’t overdo it. Keyword stuffing isn’t cool, friends! Are
you looking for a way to get your content in front of a brand new, already
established audience? If so, guest blogging is a fantastic way to go about
it. Find some websites you’d like to guest
post on and start sending pitches with your ideas. Don’t be afraid to pitch
larger websites, but you should also reach out to sites that are on the same
level as yours and some that are smaller. You never know which one might really
pay off. Another way to make use of someone else’s audience is to find
influencers in your niche and ask if you can interview them. Not only will this
provide valuable content for your readers to check out, but it’s also great
for you because you’re sure to learn something in the process. Once the
interview is live, the influencer you interviewed will surely promote it to
their audience, thus getting more traffic for you. Making connections in the
blogging world is so important, whether you’re searching for friends or new
readers. A great way to find new people is through Facebook groups or other
online forums. With so many Facebook groups these days, you’re sure to find
some that are relevant to your niche. And if you spend time there, you’ll be able
to reach your target audience and direct them back to your website. One thing to
keep in mind though, many Facebook groups have rules about promoting your own site. Make sure you read and respect rules for any Facebook groups you join. However, if
you’re active in a group and you have your blog linked as
your job in your personal profile, it’s an easy way for people to discover your
site. If you want to get traffic to your blog, you should focus on creating
quality evergreen content. Evergreen content is content that never gets old. It’s relevant today, next week, and even a year from now. This means that people are
always searching for those evergreen topics, which gives you a better chance
of getting them to your site. Create a plethora of optimized, evergreen content
and, in time, you’ll see the traffic rolling in. And finally, the best way to
increase your traffic is to know what works best for you. Don’t be afraid to
try new growth tactics, but be sure to keep an eye on your analytics to see
what’s actually working for you. When you know what works, you can do more of that
in order to effectively grow your website. And there you have it! Those are
my 10 simple strategies that will help you increase your blog traffic month
after month. Make sure you’re implementing these strategies as well as
trying new ones to determine what delivers the best results for you. Thank
