Hello and welcome to this video tutorial on
how to use the editing options on Weebly.com. Weebly is a website builder with a drag and
drop program that allows you to easily build a website for pretty much anything. This also means that pretty much anyone can
use it, from professionals to beginning bloggers. It also provides a free domain, or you can
buy your domain through weebly.com if you don’t want to have the dot Weebly. Weebly is also one of those programs where
you can use it on any web browser so google, Safari, Firefox, you can use any of those. Today I’m going to show you how to select
specific options and drag and drop them to your web page. As you can see I have made my website through
weebly.com and I have it pulled up on the screen. For this demonstration, we’re just going
to focus on adding some text and a picture. For a text addition, you’re going to want
to go over to the side tab on the left of the screen, select text, and then drag and
drop that text box onto the page wherever you want the text to be. Depending on the theme that you picked when
you created your website, the program will move it to the closest location where it can
put that text box. Once you get that text box in the spot where
you want it to be, you’re just going to go ahead and type in what you want it to say
in that text box, and then you click somewhere else, and it’s done. For an image, it’s really similar. You’re going to want to scroll to where
you want the image to be on the page and you’re going to go over to the side bar on the left
again, drag and drop the image option to where you want it to be on the page. It’s going to bring up a screen that’s
going to ask you to upload an image. You’re going to want to click on that and
it’s going to ask you to drag a photo in or upload one from your computer. I’m going to upload from my computer, just
because that’s where all my pictures are. You’re going to click open and it’s going
to upload it to that page. Now if you get your picture uploaded and you
don’t like where it’s sitting, you can easily move it by clicking it and dragging
it to where you want it to be, and dropping it. And it will move it without any problems. Now, like I said before with the text, it
doesn’t always put it where you want it to be, but that’s because somewhere in the
program it is designed to put it in the closest position possible as to where something can
fit on the page. If you don’t like your text or you image
that’s ended up on your page, all you have to do is hover over the box and click this
little X button. You’ll have an option to delete that if
you so choose, or if you don’t like what’s there. With the text box you can, you know, edit
your text it’s not stuck with what you types, or again you can choose to delete it. That’s how you add text and images to a
web page on weebly.com. Thanks for watching my video and have a great
