Hey there and thanks for watching WPBeginner.
Today you’ll learn how to embed things like pdfs, Microsoft word documents, PowerPoint
slides, or spreadsheets in your WordPress blog using the Google doc embedder. Just install and activate the plugin. Then
go to settings–>GDE settings to configure. Here we’ll leave all the default settings,
then I’ll click save changes. Now I can test it out. I’ve uploaded a pdf
in the WordPress media library so I’m going to grab the link where it’s uploaded here. Next, I’ll create a new post and you see a
new icon here for the Google doc embedder. I’ll click on that and add the url of the
file here. Down here, you see the shortcode preview that
will be inserted into the post and I’ll click insert. Next we just need to publish it and see what it looks like on the site. I hope you liked this video and found it helpful.
