Hey there and thanks for watching WPBeginner Today I’ll show you how to find
royalty-free images for your WordPress blog posts. Adding quality
images to compliment your posts is a great way
to connect with your readers but many people struggle to find
sources for these images. So the first site we’ll look at used to
be known as stock exchange and now is called free images. Its a very
simple site with a large collection of photographs just type in what you’re looking for and
click search. The top area are premium images that you have to pay for and down
here the royalty free images. The second site is creative commons
search where it shows several sites that you can
search for so I can put in what I want to use for my image, click use for commercial
use and down here I can select the site I want to search on and when I click search it
actually goes to that site to return the items that fit my request.
PhotoPin is another great site for bloggers it uses Flickr’s API. I can type in what
I want to find and click search. When it brings items back I can change
the license type here. The first few are sponsored images so if
you want the free ones make sure you scroll past this area or pay for these images if you
really want them. The next site is Wikimedia Commons which is a project by the Wikimedia
Foundation the library contains audio, video, as well as images and many of
them are in the public domain so you don’t have to give attribution.
As with all of these sites make sure you verify the license and give proper attribution if it requires it. The next site is stock
photos for free. It’s great for stock images and it does
require registration before downloading any of them. You can use their categories here to
drill down to what you need or just click Search. Finally if you need
icons or clipart then open clipart library is
a great option. All the clip art in this library are
public domain say you’re free to use modify and build on these images. I hope you liked this video and found it helpful. If you did, click on the like button below and leave us a comment.
