Hey Chef Kendra Here and today we’re making
fried peach pies. First let’s make our filling. We’re going to start off by draining 1 28
ounce can of peaches. Yes, you can use frozen, and of course you can use fresh. Now we’re going to add our peaches to a pot.
Next up is some sugar, then some vanilla extract. We have a little cinnamon going in. We’re
going to stir that up a little bit guys. Let’s break the peaches up into bite size pieces. Next in is our butter. Just a couple of Tablespoons.
Now more stirring. The filling is going to look very juicy at this point. Now we’re going
to add some salt. Mix up a little cornstarch with some water.
Now pour that in. Stir that in really well and reduce the heat to low. The link to this recipe is in the ABOUT section
below. Put on the lid and cook for about 35 minutes or until the peaches are soft. Once it’s done remove the top, pour into a
bowl and let it cool down for about ½ hour. Now we have our fried pie filling, let’s get
to work. Take six egg roll wrappers and lay them down
in a neat pile, cut the pile of wrapper in half right down the middle. Lay them out and
put an equal amount of filling over 6 of the halves. Each one can take about 3 Tablespoons of filling
without going overboard. Try and keep the filling in the middle of the wrappers, going
for ¼ inch boarder. These are in the style of the old school McDonalds
apple pies, which I used to love. Then they changed over to the baked thing they serve
now. {laugh} Working with on pie at a time, dip your finger
in water and go around the rim of the wrapper with the pie filling, then lay a wrapper on
top and seal the perimeter of the pie well. Now take a folk and crimp around the edges
to further seal the edges. What I remember most about McDonalds apple
pies was the crispy coating with the bubbles and the molten lava pie center. No matter
how many I ate I never failed to burn my mouth on the first bite. Anyway guys, line a baking sheet with parchment
paper and put the pies on the baking sheet and let chill in freezer for 1 hour. Fry these boys at 350, flipping back in forth
until they’re golden brown. Remove to a rack to cool….I repeat, let them cool. Share my videos, and if you haven’t already
