Hi guys. Welcome back to my channel. In today’s
video, I’m going to be showing you what my family eats in a day. I asked on Instagram
what kind of videos you guys would like to see and by far the most requested was what
we eat in a day, so we’re currently away. We’re staying in this little cabin in Norfolk
for the weekend, but I thought I would still film this and show you what we eat while we’re
away. It may be slightly different at home, but I hope you enjoy this video. If you do,
give it a thumbs up and if you’re new to my channel, I would love for you to subscribe
for more content like this and let me know if you do like this kind of thing and I can
make it a more regular occurrence. But without further adieu, this is what we had for breakfast.
For breakfast today, I’m having a coffee, also having a grapefruit. Madison got really
into having these and we’re having them every day and I’m also having two poached eggs on
one piece of toast and the kids, Caleb’s is already gone, but they’re having protein pancakes.
It’s the same recipe I always do, but with added cocoa, so these are chocolate pancakes
for the kids, so it’s two bananas, one egg, baking powder and almond butter and then some
cocoa as well, cocoa powder. And then, that’s it. We just fry it like a
pancake and then I served it with strawberries … all right, so we’re just about to go out
for the day, but I wanted to show you that I’m bringing this water bottle with me. I
just got it in Sainsbury’s and it’s obviously just water, but then I put a tiny bit of this
lemon-lime flavoring in it. I don’t know if you can see that. It is actually from when
I did the Cambridge Diet, but I’m not doing it anymore, but I really like this water flavoring,
because it’s sugar free, there’s no calories or anything like that and I just really like
the taste of it, so I keep having this. Someone else likes the taste of it as well, don’t
you, Caleb? Oy. So, the boys have now asked for a snack, so
I’m going to give them each an easy peeler. These are just the ones from Sainsbury’s and
they love them. They’ll often have two of these each, so we’ve got that for snack and
then, I’m also going to give them caramel Snack a Jack’s rice cake. This is their favorite
and I love them too, so I often bring out a whole thing of this, because we’ll all have
one. So yeah, they actually love these at home with almond butter on top. It actually
tastes like a desert, so good, so yeah they’re going to have one of these each as well.
Do you think our kids eat early? We’re the only ones in here. All right, so we’ve just
been for a swim and we’ve come for lunch at a little pub that’s on the ground, so I’ll
show you what we’re having. What’s Caleb got? So for lunch, Caleb has ordered yeah, good?
He’s like thumbs up. He’s ordered a kid’s cheeseburger and chips. I don’t know if you
can see this. I think it’s a brioche bun, so he’s loving that. Matt, what have you got? Oh, I just went for the salad. Matt’s got fish and chips. Fat free. Catfish with tartar sauce. It might explain the fish. Fraser has also gone for a kid’s cheeseburger
with chips. Jackson’s got the kids bolognese, but it’s actually huge. I’ve gone for a crab
salad with mushrooms, obviously crab, grapefruit and feta cheese so yeah, looks delicious.
I’ve also got diet Coke to drink and then, we’ve got a jug of water as well. Nice healthy
lunch. After lunch, nobody wanted desert, but we
did have coffee and then I thought I would voice over and just tell you about a game
that we play whenever we go out for dinner. It’s a memory game and it’s great for the
whole family to play. It keeps the kids off the iPads and iPhones as well. It’s basically
a memory game, so we’ll just start off and say I went to the shops and I bought … and
then you’ll just start with an A item and then go onto B, C, and just through the alphabet
and you have to try and remember everything that everyone on the table has said.
If you want to make it even more difficult, you don’t have to follow the alphabet, because
that is obviously a prompt for the kids, but it’s a great one and we tend to play it quite
often and it really does work to keep them entertained. Cat, donut, eggs, french fries, goat … [inaudible
00:04:20] … and … It’s H, I … [crosstalk 00:04:22] … A cat, donut, eggs, french fries, ham. E, F, G … A goat. Yeah. Haribo, don’t tell me … All right, so we just had our pub lunch and
none of the boys wanted pudding, which is like unheard of, because they were just desperate
to come back out to this play area and jump on this bouncy pillow, because after a big
lunch, you’d want to do that. All right, so it’s about 4:30 now and I’m
going to do the boy’s dinner. Matt and I are still really filled up from the pub lunch,
so we’re going to eat a bit later on, but we’re going to feed them some chicken goujons
and chips and cucumber and carrot as well. The veg is going to be raw. I just find that
my boys like raw veg and if they want, they can have a little bit of hummus with it as
well, because I’ve got that. So yeah, it’s just like a simple stick-it-in-the-oven dinner,
because we just wanted something easy while we’re away, but I don’t know about you, but
I always feel like chicken goujons are better than chicken nuggets, because they’re not
frozen, they’re fresh, there’s more chicken on them.
So yes, that’s what they’re having and it’s a good one, because they always eat all their
dinner up when it’s chicken goujons. And I nearly forgot the big boys are having water
each. Where is Jackson? Is going to have milk. Who stole his milk? Dinner, dinner, are you
eating? Good boy, yummy, yummy. Milk, it’s like a volcano. What, how did that happen? I’m holding the hole that the air comes out
of and then, I took my mouth off and it went whoosh … [crosstalk 00:06:17] … Is it yummy? Yummy carrots. Do you want to see again? No, no, I’m good. Thank you. You sure? You want to show everyone, don’t you? You’ve
swapped drinks, you’ve swapped drinks. And for pudding, the boys are having strawberry
lollies, are you excited? … [crosstalk 00:06:31] … yay. They’re cherry not strawberry. Oh cherry lollies, sorry. Cherry lollies. Cherry lolly. A scary. A scary lolly. Yeah, me … Morning, oh my, what time is it? What time is it? 8 o’clock? 20 past 8 p.m. and what are we eating, Jackson? Cheerios. Obviously. Why are you eating Cheerios? I’m eating them number two. [inaudible 00:07:07] What they eat in a day, they finish off with
some rainbow poo. Hi guys, so it’s now about 9 p.m. and we’ve
been out this evening. It was such a beautiful night, really warm and the boys were playing
in the park for so long that we just got back about 8:30, got the kids into the bath, they
had the cheerios as you would’ve seen and we’ve just put them all to bed, so anyway,
it’s really late, we’re not in the mood to make dinner and I always thought maybe I shouldn’t
film this and maybe I wouldn’t post this video, but this is real life and some days you just
have days like this. So anyway, we’re supposed to have either chili
or lamb hot pot for dinner tonight, but instead, I’m going to have Doritos with salsa and Matt
is going to have almond butter toast, so that is the reality of what we’re doing. I know
this is really uninspiring, but it’s just the truth. I also had one of the boys’ goujons
as well, so that filled me up a bit, but anyway, I hope you liked this video despite the terrible
dinner and yeah, I feel like it’s like a university student’s type dinner. But that is what we’re
having, so anyway, I hope you like this anyway and I’ll see you on my next one. Bye, guys!
